National Weather Service Graphic

6/22/18

The National Weather Service (NWS) is an invaluable source of information! I follow them on their usual webpage, as well as the Twitter feeds of their numerous offices. I do this because it is very important to monitor the weather for danger (storms, tornados, floods) so you and your family can be safe. The NWS does all of their work without the silly hype that infests the weather industry.

Because the United States is so diverse, they have some graphics that are in languages other than English. I came across this graphic in Spanish on their NWS Miami Twitter feed:

This article is to just point out that I simply noticed that the world "Population" was the only word in this Spanish language graphic that was still in English. It should have been translated to "población". I doubt that this would have confused anybody that was looking at the Spanish graphic, but I simply contacted them and let them know about it, and they responded that they will correct it.

Thanks for reading, and be sure to follow the National Weather Service!
