I taste blood yet again 
my lip keeps cracking
my stupid bottom lip
when I eat and when I smile
and when I move and when I think
what caused the original split?
I don't remember at this point
I could have bit it
but maybe something else did it
what if it stays like this forever?
what if my upper cracks too?
has any of this ever happened to you?
and what did you do?
