Freeverse 495

6/9/21

at an abandoned waterpark
brittle plastic slides fall into the voiceless air
dumped trash piles up and radiates like ripples

the speedway is also in ruins
cracked cement with lightning bolt patterns
black walls of reliable used tires remain
vines and trash twist through them
tough as barbed wire

the outdated s-word motel has mosquitos and shade
provided by a billboard with graffiti that says
fuera gringos y ricos
